Josh Shuman
Founder of Techkeeping
I’m Josh Shuman in Honolulu. I build and manage AI systems for business owners who need more work handled without hiring a department. My work covers your website, Google Business Profile and reviews, marketing, and the software behind daily operations, to name a few. You work directly with me, and I stay involved as your business’s needs change.
Techkeeping grew out of my work in social media marketing. I began using AI early, on actual client work. As I learned more and the tools improved, I could take on increasingly complicated jobs. That became a way to give a business one person who could understand the problem, build what was needed, and look after it.
I learn the business by working on it
For an Oahu fishing charter, I handled the website rebuild and original photography and video, then continued developing its search presence. The same relationship led to custom software for the captain’s maintenance and fuel logs. Understanding the operation helped me work on both how the charter attracts guests and how the boat is managed.
For a beverage brand, the work included its Shopify site, articles, customer emails, and reporting. I built a system that draws on the founder’s own material and checks drafts against the company’s product facts. Corrections become part of the instructions for future work, so each new article starts with what we have already learned.
That continuity matters. A new product, a change in pricing, or a problem with the booking software reaches someone who already knows the business. We can work out the next step without starting the explanation over.
AI gives me more capacity. You still reach me.
The systems I build handle recurring jobs such as checking websites, preparing content, sending reminders, and bringing information from different accounts into one report. I review proposed changes, make the decisions, and check the results.
For one client’s website, I built separate systems to propose repairs, apply approved changes, and verify them afterward. The system doing the repair cannot sign off on its own work. That is how I use automation: with a defined job, a record of what happened, and a way to check it.
You can hire me to manage the work or to set up systems and teach you to run them. For ongoing management, you receive a plain weekly email explaining what got done and what comes next.
There is one person behind the name
Techkeeping is my business, and I do the work. You contact me directly. Your website, the fixes, and the record of every change remain yours if our work together ends.
The Navy brought me to Hawaii in 1993, and I stayed. I work with clients on Oahu and the continental US. On days off, I climb Oahu’s mountains with a camera, looking for native birds such as amakihi, elepaio, and apapane.
